A muon is a heavy electron that lives two millionths of a second. Spin one in a magnetic field and it wobbles at a rate the Standard Model predicts exactly. So they built a fifteen metre ring, fired muons around it at nearly the speed of light, and measured that wobble to eleven decimal places. It does not match the prediction. The gap is minuscule, but it is larger than the uncertainty, and twenty years of rechecking has not made it go away. Something is out there we have not found.
